Social media monitoring in 10 minutes a day

An often asked question aboiut social media and using it to monitor your brand is “How do I find the time?”

Short answer:  I use a lot of tools to help me aggregate the information I collect, and make it manageable for analysis.   There are many sources of information available to help you figure out how to best do this.  I thought I would share one good one today.

Here is an excellent slidedeck from Rick  Barnes, Marketing Manager at Hubspot.  It is from a webimar he did a few months ago that I attended. It contains some great tips on building feeds and other time saving tools.

This is a great slidedeck, Mike (although the 10 minutes is probably misleading). I promote Hubspot\’s grader tools for both individual and organizational use in my social media presentations, and I am now going to include a link directly to this SS file too. I will also share your post with the Social Media in Organizations (SMinOrgs) Community.

When I address time and information challenges in my presentations, I talk about services like Tweetdeck/Twhirl/HootSuite and give an overview of how HootSuite can be used to manage multiple social networking accounts. I also give a quick introduction to NetVibes. People are always intrigued to learn more about each and often quickly see how they can do much more than help manage time and info flows.

Courtney – thanks for sharing the link. Obviously, the stuff from Hubspot is not my own work, but I am always happy to share great sources of information. I am curious, what do you prefer about Netvibes over Reader?
