NLRB on Facebook and Twitter

From Drop Box

I have mixed emotions about writing about this topic. I mean, it can’t be a bad thing that the U.S. Government is actually advancing the use of social media tools by getting some of the agencies out there in the forefront, using the tools, right? I just never expected to see the National Labor Relations Board launching a page on Facebook. So far, they have amassed a following of 291 fans, including me – I was #291. They also have a twitter account now. If you want to follow them, they are @NLRB.

The NLRB is far from the first  regulatory agency in the Obama administration to make use of social media tools.  As shown above, Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis has been using twitter for well over a year.  You can follow her at @HildaSolisDOL.

This is a trend that will only increase in the future.  It will be interesting to see what new dynamics are created by such small innovations.
