HR Saab Story
Welcome to my new recurring Vlog series which I am calling “HR Saab Stories”. The premise is simple, and stupid. I am going to record one minute (more or less) video blogs in my Saab when the urge strikes. These will be topics related to things I think about while driving to and from work. My normal weekly mileage is about 500 miles just for work.
In this first vlog in the series, I share some thoughts on the possible impact of the recent .03 cent reduction of the state minimum wage in Colorado.

Seems to be a proven formula so why the frig not? Do you autovloggers all have the same insurance agent? Three cent reduction in minimum wage? Yep, that’s where I would skim from….. Wha??????

I can keep my eyes on the road while I vlog. Tough to do while testing!

Mike-
I have to weigh in on this one. While you might consider this to be safe, the practice you demonstrate is considerably less safe than driving without vlogging. I may not be able to say “unsafe” but it is certainly not safe-assured. And your insights and talents are too valuable to be putting at risk. It is not about your competency, but your ability to react to others’ incompetent driving is limited by this action. A dash mount, and a video where you look straight ahead would be somewhat safer at least.
As far as the content – I wonder how much time and money it took from businesses, politicians, and lobbyists to get this $1.20 a week from employees. No one wins in this. The largest employer of minimum wage employees in the state can’t see a svaings worth the disgruntlement that would ensue.

@TimG
Based on the volume of concerns expressed over safety…mine and others – I will no longer be shooting these videos while the Saab is in motion. I will continue to put them occassionally because find them fun, and they give a little different perspective to the blog. Thanks for the input.
I tend to agree on the .03 reduction. It seems less than worthwhile, although a number of states, including Florida where I live, have minimum wage laws containing similar provisions.
