Social Media for HR professionals
This is another official update to the original “Shift Happens” video. This completely new Fall 2009 version includes facts and stats focusing on the changing media landscape, including convergence of sites, trends, and all around useful information.
In my opinion, this video is the most clear illustration of the world we live and work in every day. As HR professionals, we need to understand the impact of these changes on work and career, and adapt to them.

Mike, this is perfect! I have the go ahead to develop a social media plan for the medical center and step 1 is to get my department on board. This video will start our meeting off after the new year – if this doesn’t catch their attention,I don’t know what will!

I am with you on that, Lisa. I did a presentation to our HR group earlier this year and used version 3.0 of this same video as the opening. It is very effective to bring the impact of social media home to those who aren’t current users. After I showed it, I simply said “This is the world we are living in today – like it or not.”

Mike – thanks for getting the updated version our here. I’ve used the previsou versions at meetings between HR and marketing to discuss our social media usage. This is a great updated version to keep us moving forward.
