Upstart HR Rocks the HR Carnival

From Drop Box
The latest Carnival of HR has been up over on the Upstart HR blog for a few days now.  Ben Eubanks has done a great job of putting together 25 different posts that make a great anthology of current HR reading.      The next regular edition of the Carnival will be hosted here on HRH on November 25th, which I am very excited about.  More on that after the jump.

HR Carnival Update from Shauna Moerke

First check out this update on all things HR Carnival from Shauna Moerke aka HR Minion:
The latest Carnival of HR is live over at the UpstartHR blog and to quote Ben Eubanks, it’s 25 pieces of awesomeness so you know you need to check it out. Ben was very generous to step in and host at the last minute. You may also have noticed the super kick ass logo at the top of the page. Allen Robinson, @logicwriter, was so nice to create that for the Carnival, at Ben’s request, and I absolutely love it! Going forward, please feel free to use it when you post about the Carnival. I’m going to get it up on the carnival site right now.We have a lot coming up for you Carnival-wise in the next two weeks. Our next regularly scheduled Carnival of HR will take place on Wednesday, November 25th by Michael VanDervort over at the Human Race Horses blog. Additionally, we will be having a special Carnival of HR: HRevolution edition next Wednesday, Novemeber 18th hosted by Trish Mcfarlane of the HR Ringleader so if you have an HRevolution post, be sure to get it to Trish! If you would like to host a future Carnival of HR or just get on our email reminder list, please drop me a note at hrminion@gmail.com.

HR Carnival at Human Race Horses and Global Giving

Like I said earlier, I am thrilled to be hosting an upcoming edition of the HR Carnival.   This is a great opportunity to aggregate some great thinking and writing about the the human resources field in one place and use it as a way to expose people to the great body of work that is being created in the blogosphere by practitioners every day from all over the world.
Here is what I hope to accomplish with the November 25th edition of the HR Carnival (check the rules here) :
  1. Participation by a minimum of 100 HR bloggers
  2. Representation from across the globe
  3. Provide an opportunity for non-profits and charities to get promoted by HR bloggers

So here is the challenge, if you want to be included in the “2009 HR Carnival for Charity”,  please send a link from your blog for the blog post that you would like to have published.  I will publish your HR story.   Also, please include the name of your favorite charity and a link to their web site and I will feature your posts and your favorite charity on the Carnival on November 25th.    Additionally, I will personally contribute $1 for each submission received up to a total of $100 to one of the suggested charities, based on a random selection from all suggestions.

Let’s use this Carnival to raise awareness of the HR blogosphere and our favorite charitable organizations!

Please send your submissions to me at michael.vandervort@gmail or leave them in the comments section of the blog.

If you want to contribute a $1 of your own, you can do so at Postadollar.

About the Carnival of HR

The Carnival of HR, started by the Evil HR Lady, features recent posts from the best of the HR and management blogging community. You can participate in three ways:

1. Read: Read the posts in the latest carnivals when they come out every two weeks.

2. Submit a post: Submit your own post on HR or management issues. Posts are usually due a few days before the carnival publishing date. (Rules: One post per blogger, and posts should be something you’ve written in the last couple of weeks.) If you would like to be added to the Carnival email reminder list, send an e-mail to the Carnival’s owner, HR Minion.

3. Host a carnival: We’re always looking for new hosts, so send an e-mail to the Carnival’s owner, HR Minion, if you want to host.

What a wonderful idea Mike! I hope you reach and even surpass your goal of 100 bloggers. And, what a wonderful way to give back by noting favorite charities. I cannot wait to participate.
