Bidding was fun
Just doing a quick check up on the status of the auction for HRM Today. The most recent bid stands at $2,025. I was the lead bidder for several days, but $2,000 was my personal limit. There are just under 2.5 days remaining. I am very curious to see what the ultimate outcome of the bid will be.
Sale get Controversial
As usual, Laurie and Lance managed to generate some controversy and an interesting discussion from their decision to sell their small community on eBay.
Frank Roche wrote a post a couple of days ago expressing his dismay over the entire sale concept. This generated an interesting discussion in the comments which you can see here.
Bloggers analyze potential impact
Jon Ingham and John Sumser presented some nice analysis on the whole concept, outlining some of the potential pros and cons that could develop as a result of the sale.
What’s next for HRM Today?
I don’t think I will be bidding any higher myself. I might be willing to go in on a consortium investment, but those are often difficult to make work, so I don’t know. I discussed this sale, and the fact that I had bid with Franny Oxford this past Saturday, and she asked a great question: “What will you do with HRM Today if you buy it?”
Honestly, I have some ideas, but not really developed business plan. So, let’s crowdsource the question:
What would YOU do with HRM Today if you bought it?
Leave your thoughts in the comments section. Inquiring minds want to know!
And speaking of Franny Oxford, here is some breaking news hot off twitter. She is going to be blogging soon! That will be a blog not to be missed!
