Gevity to terminate CEO Lavington, other execs prior to merger – Tampa Bay Business Journal::
A fairly significant yet not unexpected story from Florida:
“Gevity HR Inc. will terminate five executives June 1, the same day that
TriNet Group Inc., a human resources provider based in San Leandro, Calif., is
expected to acquire the Bradenton professional employer organization.Among the executives to lose their jobs are Michael Lavington, chairman
and chief executive officer; Garry Welsh, senior vice president and chief
financial officer; James Hardee, senior vice president and chief sales and
marketing officer; Paul Benz, senior vice president and chief information
officer; and Edwin Hightower Jr., senior vice president and chief legal
officer.”
